Our classes are for beginners and even the confident cook who is looking for new ideas in the kitchen. Impress your family and friends with new exciting meals and treats that will keep them wanting to know your secret recipes...

On the evening of your cooking class you will be making 3 courses. Included in your lesson you will also receive a Bella Cosi Apron to keep and wear on the night. After your meals have been made, you and your new cooking friends will sit down and enjoy your food with a glass of red/white wine on the night.


DAY: Monday evenings

TIME: 6:30pm to 9:00pm

VENUE: Bella Cosi (71 Beach Street, Port Melbourne, Victoria, 3207)

COST: $140 per person (Bella Cosi apron, recipes, and glass of wine included in price)

Wholesome Foodstore provides nutritional menu plans, shopping lists, recipes for dietary intolerances, healthy eating, entertaining and special occasions.


Dietary meal plans and recipes, such as gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, nut-free, Fodmap, paleo, sugar-free, fructose and lactose free are available.


All the healthy cooking classes described below are interactive and include a Wholesome Foodstore apron; recipes prepared on the day, a shopping list and a menu plan for the week.  All ingredients and equipment are included and classes can be tailored to suit your dietary requirements.

Paleo cooking

Understanding the basic principles and what foods are in and what are out for the paleo way of eating and prepare a nutritious entrée, main & dessert, such as Kimchi; Zucchini Pasta with Pesto; Sauteed Kale with Tahini & Yoghurt Dressing; Lamb Moussaka; Fish Curry with Cauliflower & Okra; Berries with organic coconut whipped cream.

Vegan Cooking

Understanding the basic principles and what foods are in and what are out for the vegan way of eating and prepare a nutritious entrée, main & dessert, such as Lentil parsnip walnut salad; Cauliflower grilled vegetable pizza; white chocolate berry hazelnut torte; sugar-free vegan stracciatela gelato.

Sugar free baking

Learn to make delicious sugar free sweets and desserts such as Chocolate Coconut Icecream; Berries with caramelised cream; Chocolate Protein Balls; Berry Swirl Cheesecake; Raw chocolate hazelnut muffins.

Spanish theme dinner

We'll prepare delicious Spanish tapas such as patatas bravas; smoky chicken & chorizo skewers; jamon croquettes; crunchy corn & pepper salad. We’ll learn to make Paella de Marisco (seafood) and Paella de Valencia (chicken & chorizo, peas); and a delicious crème catalan.

Greek theme dinner

We'll prepare scrumptious Greek food such as Tzatziki Dip, Pita Bread, lamb souvlaki; prawn scordalia; country cos & dill salad; custard filo pie.

Tummy-friendly Christmas

Learn to make a delicious Christmas feast tailored to your dietary requirements, such as low FODMAP, gluten free, sugar-free, vegan, nut-free, vegetarian and special diets such as Paleo. We'll prepare appetisers, main, dessert and beverages.
